Go: Rent a boat in Fažana and head two miles off the coast to National Park Brijuni, an archipelago full of fields, trails and beaches. Alternatively, bike down to the peninsula of Kamenjak for the day.

Stay: The VIlletta Phasiana sits right on the marina and will cost you around 40 Euro for the night. They have sailboats for guests if you're feeling adventurous and want to test the Mediterranean.

Eat: Fish, mussels, calamari, and crabs are fresh from the Adriatic. The Istrian Peninsula also produces would famous truffles and olive oil, a must try for the decadent traveler.

Drink: Local fresh squeezed lemonade is perfect before a day of sunbathing and swimming.
