Go: The Cenote Escondido is about 5km south of Tulum. Rent a car and drive south on Mexico 307 to Chum Kopó. The put on your walking shoes and venture into the jungle until you find the Cenote.
Stay: Rent a villa on the beach for 6,500 Mexican pesos for the week. Most villas are also a short walk to the Mayan ruins on the northern beaches.
Eat: Shrimp, octopus, squid, and tuna ceviches are common in Mexico. Try Ginger, a local restaurant, for some of the best ceviche in Tulum.
Drink: Pack a lunch for the excursion to the cenotes, and don't for get the Dos Equis beer!
