"We hiked down from Bowen’s Ranch to camp and skinny dip at Deep Creek Hot Springs. This clothing-optional oasis is a tranquil destination."
-Dirk Mai
Go: Take a truck or SUV that can go off-road to Bowen’s Ranch – the roads are rocky. Pay $5 to park, then hike down 2.5 miles to Deep Creek Hot Springs. Bring something to float on!
Stay: Camp overnight – just bring a sleeping bag and pillow and sleep under the stars.
Eat: Pack what you want to eat – you can pack frozen meals in a cooler using dry ice to keep meat, water, and beer colder for longer. Cook a juicy steak on a pocket stove for upscale camp food.
Drink: Bring lots of water, IPAs to sip on while floating in the creek, and wine if you are staying overnight.
