"My friends and I live a freelance, city hustling life in New York, but getting into nature is so revitalizing. We go camping and swimming as much as we can, seeking out waterfalls, rivers, swimming holes, & lakes with cliff jumps or rope swings as close to the city as possible, but just far enough to feel like we're in the middle of nowhere and can do whatever we want."

Go:  Explore the Delaware Water Gap. Take in the gorgeous waterfalls, kayak on the immense river, hike one of the many trails in the park, and maybe find a secret spot of your own. Be careful of the currents in the river, lakes and ponds – wearing a life vest is recommended, and never swim alone.

Stay:  Treat yourself to a luxurious and sustainable weekend at the Ledges Hotel in Hawley, PA. This Poconos Mountain retreat built in the historic O’Connor Glass Factory fits harmoniously within the stunning natural beauty of the river gorge falls and natural stone ledges that surround it.

Eat:  Bring an organic peanut butter banana sandwich with pieces of dark chocolate inside to grill on the campfire at the Delaware Water Gap.

Drink:  Drink lots of water while exploring outdoors, but kick back later with a pour of Apple Pie Shine corn whiskey from Mountain View Distillery in a glass of hot cider.
