-Jelena Martinovic
Go: Roam by the sea and explore all the little paths that lead to hidden coves.
Stay: Stay at the beautifully designed Hotel Lone, only a 15-minute walk from the historic town center and close to the sea.
Eat: Every Istiran household or restaurant prepares maneštra, a delicious thick boiled soup made of various vegetables, pesto, and cured porks.
Drink: Istria is famous for their wines. A favorite is the popular white wine, Istrian Malvasia. Also try some domestic rakija, a Balkan spirit made out of herbs instead of fruit – the mint is especially tasty.
